Bayeux
Bayeux was the first town to be liberated by the Allies in 1944 and was fortunate to escape war damage. Today, an attractive nucleus of 15th-19th-century buildings remains around it's central main streets. Rue St-Martin adn Ru St-Jean. The latter is lined with shops and cafés.
