Excursion to Mt. Jungfrau (Elevation 3,471 m - 11,223 ft)
> You will just have to show you Flex Pass Combi without writing in a date. The conductors just want to see that you have half fare privileges together with the Jungfrau voucher.
Visitors can start this excursion at their leisure in Interlaken Ost and travel via Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch. In the morning the trains leave Interlaken Ost at :05 and :35 past every hour. In Grindelwald visitors change to the cogwheel train to Kl. Scheidegg and on to Jungfrau. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent views on Mt. Jungfrau as long as they would like.
The return trip by train can be taken via Wengen to Lauterbrunnen which will allow visitors to see the Staubbach Falls before getting to the Lauterbrunnen station. From Lauterbrunnen there are trains every 30 minutes back to Interlaken.
We suggest to descend to Kl. Scheidegg and then take the train to Wengen rather than Grindelwald. The train stops in Wengen for 3-4 minutes and then continues down to Lauterbrunnen. Explore this quaint mountain village for a little while before heading to Lauterbrunnen. From Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken Ost trains will leave at :02 and :32 past every hour.
> Alternatively you could also hike from Kl. Scheidegg down to Wengen. The Jungfrau Region is hikers paradise. In the morning visitors are able to take the cablecar from Grindelwald to Männlichen and hike from Männlichen in approx. 90 minutes (with the Eiger North Face in constant view) to Kl. Scheidegg. Please ask the concierge of your hotel to give you a good map with marked hiking trails and hiking times.
