Stein am Rhein
Stein am Rhein is situated in the midst of beautiful countryside along the lower end of Lake Constance, where the lake becomes the Rhine River again. Stein am Rhein is famous for its well-preserved Old Town featuring painted facades and half-tibered houses. There are numerous things for the young and young at heart to do here. Stein am Rhein is a unique gem and offers a wide variety of art, culture and outdoor activities. As colorful as the magnificent facades of the Rathausplatz present themselves, as varied is the range of culinary delights and activities available.
Stein am Rhein is a lively and very charming small town. Among the sights are the Monastery of St. Georgen, one of the best-preserved medieval monastery complexes, the Lindwurm Museum depicting 19th century bourgeois and agricultural life as well as the holiday areas and excursion destinations that include the island group of Werd. The Hohenklingen Castle, which was built high above the town in 1225, brings to life the colorful history of Stein am Rhein.

Trains from Zurich [2018]
There are several trains every hour. The best connections leave from Zurich HB at :05 and :47 minutes of every hour. Depending on which train you take, you either change trains in Schaffhausen or Winterthur.
Lake Constance
Stein am Rhein is connected to the boats on the Untersee of Lake Constance. You have several boats daily to Constance (Germany) and Kreuzlingen (Switzerland).
